Why Cheney is my favorite Dick?
This article from the NYT sums it up rather well...."Reviewing this record — secrecy, impatience with government regulations, backroom dealings, handsome paydays — it dawned on us that Mr. Cheney is in step with the times. He has privatized the job of vice president of the United States.
Chris Matthews has stated on Hardball in the past that "Cheney represents the first time that US has had a Prime Minister" - it would be a great idea to make the Veep into a Prime Minister except that irritating little document(aka the US Constitution) doesn't give the Veep any power other than President of the Senate.
So much for John Nance Garner's quote that the Veep job isn't "worth a pitcher of warm spit"
