A Historic Vote in Congress to End the War

The House has voted 218-212, mostly along party lines, for a binding war spending bill requiring that combat operations cease before September 2008, or earlier if the Iraqi government does not meet certain requirements. It is truly historic. The bill will probably be vetoed by Bush but finally Congress is using the budget powers granted to it by the Constitution to curb Bush and his misadventure. Four years too late but better late than never......
